  • January 10: first publication of The Adventures of Tintin by Hergé, in the children's supplement Le Petit Vingtième in the newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle, with the story Les Aventures de Tintin, reporter du Petit "Vingtième", au pays des Soviets.[1]
