Synopsis for "Krypton On Earth"

When news of an island being named Krypton spreads around the world, promising a home just like the planet Krypton, it attracts the attention of Superman who decides to go and investigate as Clark Kent on behalf of the Daily Planet. He is invited as guest of honor by the owner, Jonas Smith, who is really criminal "Swindler Smith" who is using Krypton Island as a front to smuggle diamonds and other valuables stolen from the residents of the island. Deciding to manipulate Superman into helping, Smith crowns Superman honorary king of Krypton Island.

A parade ensues, and the crook tricks Superman into showing off his many super feats, including turning coal into diamonds. Superman is also kept distracted by a series of "accidents" meant to distract him while they launch an effigy of Superbaby in a rocket stuffed full of smuggled diamonds. Superman soon learns the truth when he notices Smith's finger prints and after Smith attempts to kill Superman with Kryptonite (Which the Man of Steel narrowly escapes) Superman busts up their operations and turns the jewel smugglers over to the police putting an end to the Krypton Island scam.
