Jackson Beck (b. July 23, 1912 - d. July 28, 2004) narrated the Superman segments for the animated series The New Adventures of Superman and The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure. He also voiced Perry White for the animated Flescher theatrical Superman shorts. He reprised the role for The New Adventures of Superman and The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure.
Whiled working on those two animated series he shared the role with Ted Knight. Beck was credited with voicing the character from 1966 through early 1968 with Knight apparently taking over the role for the Superman segments produced in late 1968 for the animated series Batman/Superman Hour. Available sources are unclear if this was the case and if Knight covered for Back for some of the earlier episodes.[1][2][3][4]
