Synopsis for "X-Over"

At the Xavier Institute, Professor X exhausts himself using Cerebro to try and locate his stepbrother Juggernaut. Concerned for the professor’s safety, Phoenix stops him and assures him the X-Men will find Juggernaut. Soon, a team of X-Men take off in their Blackbird jet to search accompanied by their teleporter ally Gateway. Sensing Juggernaut’s whereabouts, Gateway opens a transdimensional portal, and the X-Men fly into it. In the Ultraverse’s Manhattan, Siena Blaze has realized she, Juggernaut, and Reaper are on a parallel Earth, and she demands Amber Hunt teleport them home. Amber responds by projecting a replay of the Exiles’ gathering on Gameworld and subsequent arrival on Earth amidst an explosion that devastated New York City. Overhead, the X-Men emerge from Gateway’s portal, drop into the city, and realize they are on a parallel Earth. The Exiles find them, and Blaze immediately attacks. A battle erupts between the two teams, and the X-Men discover their powers are reduced. Reaper sees Gateway’s portal is still open and tries to go through, triggering an explosive backlash. The Exiles and the X-Men watch as a giant monster emerges from the portal with Reaper in its grasp, and Amber recognizes it as Firewalker. The Exiles try to free Reaper, but it swallows him and Juggernaut. As Iceman goes in after them, Gambit deduces that Firewalker feeds on the Exiles’ energy. ‘Strike shoots into its mouth, and Iceman emerges with Reaper and Juggernaut unharmed. Then, the Exiles and the X-Men use their powers to force Firewalker back through the portal, and Gateway closes it. Afterward, Blaze realizes she, Reaper, and Juggernaut cannot return home with the X-Men without unleashing Firewalker. Later, the X-Men return to their native Earth and report back to Professor X. Storm notes how Juggernaut fought beside them, demonstrating he is capable of changing for the better.
