Synopsis for "World Tour 1992 part 1: Rage Against the Dying of the Light!"
Alpha Flight travels to Washington, D.C. to meet with X-Factor. The team’s luggage is lost so they don spare X-Factor uniforms. As soon as Havok makes introductions, X-Factor’s assistance is requested in Poughkeepsie, New York. In a cemetery there, a man named Malcolm is restrained by zombies controlled by his undead fiancée, Amy. Alpha Flight tags along with X-Factor, and, en route, Northstar questions Havok’s choice to work for the U.S. government while Guardian explains Alpha Flight’s relationship with the Canadian government to Polaris. Upon their arrival in Poughkeepsie, an FBI agent tells them about a string of thefts and the kidnapping of hundreds of local residents which trace back to the cemetery. Thus far, attempts to enter have been met with superhuman force. Multiple Man deduces the thefts and kidnapping are for a wedding, but both teams dismiss him until they enter the cemetery. At first, Amy is angered by their presence, but Malcolm convinces her to let them stay. Amy describes how she died of food poisoning yet remained conscious, but immobile through her autopsy and burial. Days later, she could move again and crawled out of her grave. Angry and lonely, she found she could control other corpses and, still determined to get married, used them to steal items and guests for the wedding. Havok realizes Amy is a mutant, and Sasquatch confirms that death could have activated her powers. When X-Factor and Alpha Flight refuse to sit down, she has her zombies attack them. Deducing Amy’s powers are fueled by her rage, Aurora convinces Malcolm to go through with the ceremony. The zombies free both teams and, once Malcolm and Amy exchange their vows, she disintegrates in his arms.
