History

Archie O'Toole was a poor traveling artist on the island nation of Pyromania. When the dictator of Pyromania, Gil O. Teen, forced O'Tool to paint his portrait or die, O'Toole managed to embarrass Teen, which (under the laws of Pyromania) means Teen was deposed. In gratitude, O'Toole was declared the new King of Pyromania.

Notes

• Created by Will Eisner using the pen name Bud Thomas. After Eisner left the feature, his successors (including George Tuska) still used the Bud Thomas name.
