HistoryEdit

Mr. Turner was the Archmime of the Church of Simpology (a religion which embraced absurdity) in Mega-City One at the time of Judge Carolyn Bachmann and Enormo Overdrive's attempt to conquer the city and replace it with one of their own construction. Rogue Judge Jack Point, who had become unwittingly involved in the conspiracy, ran to the Church for sanctuary from the Justice Department and Turner (who spoke only in mime, with a hat-bot translating his performance art gestures into speech) agreed to get Point offworld as a Simpriest for five million credits.

However, Turner was in league with Bachmann and Overdrive (who'd have guessed?) and betrayed Point, attempting to have him killed while escaping. Point escaped the trap, so Turner was forced to resort to killing him personally, but Point was saved by a member of Turner's own Simp cult, who blew his head off after Point had reversed their mental conditioning.

NotesEdit

The names of Archmime Turner and his associates Bachmann and Overdrive were a reference to the legendary rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

TriviaEdit

The Church of Simpology is a parody of the real-life Church of Scientology, a religion created by the science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.
