Synopsis for "The Man Who Was Magic"
A hunter enters a cave and finds that the exit leads to Nero's Rome. He plays his radio (despite no radio stations being in existence) and uses a flashlight, gun and electric shaver. Nero wants to keep him around as a magician, but he eventually escapes back to his own time.

Synopsis for "The Man In the Moon"
A boy makes friends with a moon man and gives him his father's grass seed so that it can be planted on the moon. This angers his father who breaks the spinning top which allowed the moon man to visit the boy. At night the boy looks at the green spot on the moon and is glad that he was able to help his friend.

Synopsis for "They Vanish at Night"
A psychologist sees what he takes to be a man suffering a delusion in the park speaking to a female manikin as though she were alive. He invites the man into his home in order to assess and treat the delusion and ultimately convinces the man to return the manikin to the department store. The psychologist receives quite a shock when he checks up on the manikin to see whether his patient has left the figure alone and the security personnel inform him that the other missing manikin has shown up as well. The other manikin is revealed as his patient.
