  • Alfred names the Batcomputer "Dupin" after literary figure C. Auguste Dupin. Dupin was a detective created by pulp writer Edgar Allan Poe and featured in the short story Murders in the Rue Morgue. Dupin is often regarded as the father of modern criminology and has paved the way for characters such as Sherlock Holmes and Batman.
