Bes is a member of the Ennead, an extra-dimensional race of beings once worshiped by the people of Ancient Egypt.

Bes met Earth Force when they tricked Grog into taking them to Seth’s dimension. But Seth has already begun his assault of Asgard itself, and Balder has no choice but to use the Celestial Siphon to drain Thor’s powers into himself. Which leaves Thor helpless before Grog and Seth’s army. [1] Thor, Hogun, Black Knight, Earth Lord and Skyhawk are all trapped inside the Black Pyramid being tortured by Grog. Whilst imprisoned they meet shadowy figure. [2] They fight their way through the Black Pyramid. They find that the secret to Seth’s power is he has imprisoned Bes, forcing him to bend luck to his side. Bes leads Thor to an astonishing discovery, the imprisoned Odin. [3]

In Asgard, the forces of life and the forces of death clash in fierce combat. Seth challenges Balder to single combat, and of course, cheats. Balder falls and the power of Thor returns to him. The manacles holding Odin were really power dampeners, hiding his presence from Surtur. Odin imparts all his power to Thor to fight the fire demon when he arrives[4].

Thor battles Surtur across time and space. Karnilla rescues Balder before Seth’s final blow can be struck, and he convinces her to help Asgard. Meanwhile, Odin fights Seth, and with the help of the cursed Black Knight, the serpent god is defeated. Earth Force is restored by the Egyptian gods and returned to Earth[5].

Powers

Bes possesses various superhuman abilities as a result of his Ennead physiology. However, many of his powers are considerably greater than those of most of his race due to the fact that he is their ruler. Superhuman Strength: Bes possesses superhuman strength considerably greater than that of the average Egyptian god and is capable of lifting about 80 tons. Superhuman Speed: Bes is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than even the finest human athlete. Superhuman Stamina: Bes body produces considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of human beings, and most other members of his race for that matter, during physical activity. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several days before fatigue begins to impair him. Superhuman Durability: Bes body is highly resistant to physical injury. He is fully capable of withstanding great impact forces, temperature and pressure extremes, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining any form of injury. Bes' body is even more resistant to injury than most Egyptian gods. Regenerative Healing Factor: Like all members of his race, is capable of healing with superhuman levels of speed and efficiency if injured. However, the extent of his healing powers are well beyond those of the majority of his race. He is capable of regenerating missing limbs or organs. Immortality: Bes is functionally immortal in the sense that he is immune to aging. He has not aged since reaching adulthood and is immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections. Energy Manipulation: Bes is capable of manipulating great quantities of energy for a variety of uses including firing powerful beams of energy, temporarily augmenting his physical attributes, teleporting across great distances and dimensions, granting superhuman powers to living beings or inanimate objects, etc.

Abilities: Although rarely doing so, Bes is a formidable combatant, particularly in using his energy manipulating capabilities in combat situations.
