Synopsis for "Sanctuary"

Aboard a flight to New York, fugitive Genoshan geneticist and freedom fighter Renee Majcomb forges a new passport for herself. At JFK Airport, Cable bickers with Domino as they go through a security checkpoint. Majcomb’s flight soon arrives, but the Press Gang’s Hawkshaw and Pipeline have followed her intent on taking her back to Genosha. Outside, Rictor arrives to catch a flight to Mexico, and Shatterstar has come along to see him off. After pushing through a crowd of anti-mutant protesters, they reach the checkpoint, and a security guard forces Shatterstar to leave his swords there. Cable and Domino meet them at Rictor’s departure gate, Cable encourages Rictor to return to X-Force soon, and they shake hands. Once Rictor’s flight leaves, Cable and Domino return to the checkpoint with Shatterstar to pick up his swords. The security guard receives word of brewing trouble between the protesters and Genoshan passengers from Majcomb’s flight. He leaves to intervene, and Cable, Domino, and Shatterstar follow him. Cable spots Hawkshaw and Pipeline detaining Majcomb and stops Pipeline from teleporting her away. Then, Shatterstar attacks, but Pipeline shoots him in the gut. Majcomb breaks free and Domino disables Hawkshaw. Pipeline tries to shoot the guard, but Cable shields him and knocks Pipeline out. Majcomb tells Cable she will contact Professor X soon, and the guard takes Hawkshaw and Pipeline into custody. That night at the Xavier Institute, Cable tells Domino that Shatterstar is in stable condition, and she informs him Hawkshaw and Pipeline are being released due to diplomatic immunity. After Cable goes to bed, Domino watches a TV news report on serial murders in the Rocky Mountains and recognizes the killer’s footprint as belonging to Grizzly.
