In the end, there was only one, a single black infinitude. Then the infinitude found release. And finally, the darkness broke, filling it with life. With the Multiverse. Every existence multiplied by possibility. And spread out before space and time in infinite measure. Civilizations rose and fell. And rose again across reality's grasping expanse. Life, a precious gift, persevering in the face of every obstacle. Until, finally, the age of heroes was born.

Trivia
- Similar to other realities, Swamp Thing's Earth-19 designation is a nod to 2019 which is its year of release.
- Stargirl's Earth-2 designation is a homage to the JSA that first appeared on Earth-Two in the comics.
- Earth-12 was previously shown to be a Green Lantern-based reality in the Pre-Crisis Multiverse.[2]
- Doom Patrol, Stargirl and Swamp Thing were originally meant to be featured in the Pre-Crisis continuity.[3]
- There are some callbacks to the original Crisis on Infinite Earths in this episode:
- The episode opens with Kara Danvers waking up in her bedroom on a new world which mirrors Earth-Two Clark Kent doing the same in the first pages of Crisis on Infinite Earths #11;
- The Anti-Monitor becoming a giant version of himself is a a nod to his comic counterpart's appearance as well the Anti-Life version of the Post-Flashpoint Anti-Monitor/Mobius;
- The all-out battle between the heroes of Earth-Prime and Mobius' army mirrors the ultimate battle against the Anti-Monitor from Crisis on Infinite Earths #12.
- The Spectre/Oliver Queen's monologue about the rebirth of the Multiverse is once again a callback to the first pages of Crisis on Infinite Earths #1 and the opening scene of "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One".
- Oliver Queen's sacrifice inspires his friends to create a new team of heroes that can defend Earth from future menaces. In a possible future, this team will be known as the Justice League.[4]
- Roger Hayden's prophecy that "Worlds will live. Worlds will die. And the universe will never be the same"[5] is finally fulfilled as some Earths were destroyed while a new Earth rose in their places.
- President Shaw, who is first introduced in this episode, was originally mentioned in the Black Lightning episode, "The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis".
- It is revealed that, on Earth-Prime, Clark and Lois have two sons instead of one.
- This concept is eventually explored in the TV series Superman & Lois which is set on whole other universe of the Post-Crisis Multiverse.[6]
- Gardner Pier and Perez Landing are respectively homages to Gardner Fox and George Pérez.
- The Super Friends theme is heard as Gleek escape his imprisonment in the S.T.A.R. Labs hall.
- Crisis on Infinite Earths writer, Marv Wolfman, cameos in the episode as a fictional version of himself.
- Earth-12's cameo was also originally meant to be a reference to the unproduced HBO Max's Green Lantern TV show.
