Synopsis for "The Souls of Cyber-Folk part 4: Deus Ex Machina"

Deathlok reviews Mechadoom’s plot and how he came into conflict with it.  Convinced it killed Misty Knight and her fellow rescuers with an explosion, he resolves to avenge them.  As he attacks Mechadoom, Misty, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Vision reappear nearby.  They were not killed; the Invisible Woman just used her powers to conceal them. Doombots surround them, but they easily destroy the machines with their powers.  Meanwhile, Mechadoom restrains Deathlok, but he breaks free and fires back. Mechadoom reassembles himself after each shot so, on the advice of his computer, Deathlok destroys its main power supply.  Unable to fully function without it, Mechadoom pleads for help.  The Doombots shut down, and the rescuers free Forge and the other captives.  Ultron vows revenge on Mechadoom and leaves.  Bushwacker wants to kill it as well, but Deathlok argues Mechadoom is just a result of its experiences.  Mechadoom says it prefers death to freedom and is about to self-destruct, but Deathlok talks it down by convincing it that it is already sentient.  Mr. Fantastic repairs Mechadoom, and it announces its intent to provide support to the cybernetic community.  Suddenly, Ultron appears, destroys Mechadoom with an energy blast, and vanishes.  Hours later, Deathlok and Misty discuss Ultron’s escape and that at least Mechadoom got to experience community, however briefly.  Deathlok later notes in a letter to his wife that the FF and X-Men are holding a funeral for Mechadoom and that his encounter with it made him feel less alone.
