Quote1 The money is only important because it's important to other people-- a sign of respect via perceived "worth." But it means nothing compared to my name. And right now-- with this already being the second time I've killed him... Someone doesn't think that's worth very much. Quote2

Synopsis for "Legacy"

Somewhere, Deathstroke fights with an assassin sent to challenge him wearing a purple and green suit. He knows that the success of an assassin is in being respected, and always has been. However, in this sad day and age, respect is relative to the dollar amount on your paycheck. Challenging his opponent to take his shot, Deathstroke the Terminator thrusts his blade through the attacker's chest, letting the body fall to the street below.
Later, Slade Wilson trains against a robotic sparring partner as his manager Christoph watches. Christoph worries that Slade's tactic of heavily advertising himself may attract negative consequences like more skilled assassins. He fears that Slade can't keep up with those consequences.
They are joined by Peabody, a weapon designer. Slade called him to have a look at the contents of the briefcase that he stole during the plane job. What were supposed to be nuclear secrets ended up being something else entirely; something that suggests that someone doesn't think very highly of Deathstroke. Peabody intends to take a few days to look into it. Meanwhile, he asks about the next job. Deathstroke intends to kill a philanthropist named Elmer Burnham who is known for repurposing super-weapons for the betterment of society.
True to form, Deathstroke charges Burnham's fortress somewhere in the Colorado Rockies on a huge motorbike. Crashing through the wall, he challenges Burnham to come out, so that he doesn't have to kill all of his men. However, Deathstroke is surprised to encounter someone wearing the same suit as the one worn by the assassin he killed earlier. While Deathstroke and the assassin battle, Elmer Burnham is attacked and killed by an unseen assailant.
The assassin introduces himself as Legacy, and distinguishes himself from his predecessor by being significantly stronger. Regardless, he gets too close, and with a deft motion, Deathstroke quickly dismembers him.
Later, Slade reports that Burnham was already dead by the time he found him, and notes that the briefcase issue is becoming more problematic. Peabody asks why, if he is concerned about how well he does his job, Deathstroke doesn't try to be more covert in his operations. Slade responds that he has always barged through the front door, and if he stops now, people will think he can't. His reputation means everything to him.
Elsewhere, the parents of April - one of the former members of 'Harmory' - hire a Mr. Malak to kill Deathstroke as vengeance for killing their daughter. Mr. Malak professes to being a meta-human, and agrees to accept the condition that he wear the green and purple suit of Legacy.
