Synopsis for "The Techtromis Design part 2"
Crane agrees to a deal with Chambers and Cleland: in exchange for helping IO retrieve the Techtromis nanotech from DV8, IO will clear Black Ops’ names. Meanwhile, DV8 lands at a converted facility in Baja California where Sideways Bob awaits them. That evening, Black Ops meets with Chambers and Cleland at the team’s seaside safehouse in La Jolla. Redbird vouches for Cleland who will join Black Ops on the retrieval mission. Via teleconference, Giovanni has them briefed on DV8’s members and their powers. Redbird goes outside to get some air, and Cleland follows, but she is standoffish despite their past relationship. Then, Geek arrives with H.E.R.B. and equipment for the mission. In Mexico, Baiul uses Gencal’s director as an initial test subject for Techtromis, killing him. She plans to use the nanotech to enhance DV8’s powers, but Sublime is leery of the idea. Baiul summons the team, and they watch as Threshold is the first to be exposed. Nearby, Black Ops arrives having located DV8 using IO intelligence. Redbird and Cleland approach by air while Crane, GQ, and Shire infiltrate the base through an underwater portal. Redbird and Cleland land and take out several guards at a sentry outpost. Inside, the members of DV8 are changing clothes when an alarm sounds. The test pod containing Threshold is draining massive amounts of power and about to explode.
