Synopsis for "The Interpretation of Dreams"

Using virtual reality tech in the Proteus Room, Britanic shows his sister Psylocke a vision he had of their brother Jamie coming to his rescue decades in the future. Britanic thinks it is a prophecy and that they must rehabilitate Jamie, but Psylocke is uncertain they can. As Jamie lies comatose in the Mutant Research Center infirmary, she telepathically accesses his memories and reviews his descent from playboy racecar driver to international criminal. Britanic joins her, and they recall the torture by Dr. Crocodile that triggered Jamie’s mutant powers and drove him insane. Using the Proteus Room and Psylocke’s telepathy, they enter Jamie’s mind to identify the root of his criminal behavior. A dream of the three siblings playing hide and seek as children erupts into a psychic battle between Psylocke and Jamie. She wins, and he flees only to run into Britanic. Britanic tries to reason with Jamie, but Jamie attacks him, and they fight. After Jamie blasts Britanic with energy, the three siblings revert to childhood and the hide and seek game. Britanic and Psylocke let Jamie find them and invite him to share their bond, but then he lashes out, forcing them all back to reality. Jamie trashes the Proteus Room and attacks Psylocke, but Britanic overpowers him, and he passes out. They return him to the infirmary where Moira determines he is again comatose, but she thinks they made progress based on his brain activity. Both Britanic and Psylocke sense a new calmness in Jamie, and she wonders if they helped him. Psylocke prepares to leave and tells Britanic to stay in touch.

Synopsis for "Black Queen Rising"

On duty as a flight attendant, Daytripper has a vision of being trapped in a torture device that shreds and reassembles her body. Suddenly, the plane she is on takes a nosedive, and she tries to calm the passengers. Selene, the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club, appears to her, takes credit for the vision and the plane’s predicament, and threatens to crash it if Daytripper does not help her. Daytripper agrees, teleports to the mansion where Selene is trapped, finds her in the torture device, and frees her. Selene moves to push Daytripper into the device, but Nightcrawler teleports in, pushes Daytripper out of the way, and gets trapped in the device himself. Selene reveals someone must be in the device or it will explode. She and Daytripper fight until Daytripper blasts her out of the mansion. Daytripper then frees Nightcrawler, and they teleport away just before the device self-destructs, blowing up the mansion. Nearby, a wounded Selene stumbles through the woods and screams.

Synopsis for "A Change of Worlds"

Shadowcat receives a package in the mail from her mother containing things from her time at Xavier’s School. Nightcrawler teleports the package to Kitty’s room, and she and Lockheed find some old discs inside. She reads them on a computer and discovers they contain the journal of her late friend Cypher. In it, he talks about proving himself as a New Mutant, bonding with the alien Warlock, and defeating Warlock’s father Magus. Believing Douglock is Cypher resurrected, Shadowcat has him read the discs, but he insists he is not Cypher. Upset, she vents to Nightcrawler and has him read Cypher’s last journal entry. In it, Cypher affirms his willingness to give his life for his teammates, something which he eventually did. Shadowcat breaks down crying, and Nightcrawler consoles her, suggesting she befriend Douglock for who he is.
