Synopsis for "The Escape of Flaxey Dorgan"
While being transferred to a new penitentiary, a racketeer breaks free. As Paul Patton (Fox) is taking photos of the crime scene, he discovers a cuff-link where the police were gunned down during the escape. His newspaper partner, Ruth Ransom, see's him pick it up, and notices the initials "E.G." engraved on it. Both "think" it belongs to mobster Ears Green, and separately investigate the connection. Ruth goes to a club, and spots Mr. Green, who is in fact missing one of his cuff-links. He doesn't like her snooping around, and two of his gunmen grab her, and shove her in a car. The Fox spies all of this and follows the thugs up into the countryside. Once at the hideout, the Fox leaps on Green and his thugs. Inside the house, the escaped racketeer hears the commotion and believes the police have him surrounded. He comes out shooting, killing the two thugs. Ears Green surrenders to the Fox, and soon enough, the "real" police arrive for the clean-up.
