Synopsis for the 1st Story
After a training session, Velocity convinces Timmie to scan her brain using the Subplex lab equipment in the hopes of restoring her memory. The process does trigger memories of her early childhood, but it also leaves her comatose. Timmie stops the scan and summons the rest of Cyberforce to help. Cyblade explains the scan messed with Velocity’s brain box implant and now she is slowly dying. Meanwhile, Carin remembers her older sister Cassie accidentally killing their stepfather to stop his violent abuse. Carin was subsequently sent to an orphanage run by Mother-May-I. The other children nicknamed her “Lightning” for her speed and forcibly tattooed a lightning bolt on her face. In the present, Stryker finds Ballistic and convinces her to help the team infiltrate a Cyberdata facility to help her sister. Velocity recalls being taken from the orphanage by Cyberdata, trained by Killjoy, and finally freed by Ripclaw. Ballistic and Cyberforce fight their way through Cyberdata security droids to a lab where Chip resets Velocity’s brain box, stabilizing her. Killjoy and the S.H.O.C.s arrive, including new member Hotspur. He attacks Cyblade, taunting her that he is someone she knows, but Stryker shoots him. Fended off by Cyberforce, the S.H.O.C.s retreat. Velocity wakes up and tells Ballistic she remembers their childhood together. The two sisters express their love for each other and hug.
