Synopsis for "Circle of Terror"Edit
While passing a shop window, Dinah sees a music box with tiny figures atop it. One of the figures shoots the other, prompting Dinah to enter the store to inquire about it. Once inside, Dinah witnesses the shopkeeper fall dead from a slow acting gas. The figure on the music box is an exact match for the dead shopkeeper.
Investigating as the Black Canary, Dinah checks the address on the label of the music box. She finds a gang of jewel thieves and Larry Lance held captive. Though she is captured herself, the Black Canary manages to rescue Larry and follow the crooks to their next robbery. She captures them, then finds that the gang leader has carved music box figures of both herself and Larry The man also carved the figure on the shopkeeper's music box. The shopkeeper was murdered for double-crossing the gang while acting as a fence.
