Synopsis for "Dead Silence"
Banshee fends off Penance by kicking her in the gut. Then, Husk morphs into a stone-like form and tackles her. They fight, and Penance wounds Husk repeatedly with her claws until Banshee runs her off with his sonic scream. On a Samoan beach, a young woman named Cordelia calls her friend Mondo a hero for rescuing some kids and suggests he become a superhero in the U.S., but he is not interested. Back at Xavier’s School, Jubilee and Synch find Penance, Synch is able to shield them from her claws by mimicking her invulnerability as a force field, and she flees. Banshee finds them while carrying the wounded Husk and orders them to take her to the infirmary. Synch obeys, but Jubilee decides not to. Elsewhere, Orphan-Maker is explaining his armor falling apart in Monaco to his boss Nanny when another piece falls off. Nanny assures him he is just growing up. At the school, M stuns Penance, and the White Queen reads her mind but finds nothing recognizable. Just as Penance recovers, Banshee drives her away with a sonic scream and argues with M over how to stop her. In the woods, Jubilee watches Chamber talk Penance down by empathizing with how she has suffered for being a mutant. Banshee, M, and Emma find them and take them inside. Three days later, Skin visits Husk in the infirmary and invites her to continue their boardgame. She asks if the reason he insisted on staying inside during the search for Penance was because he feared Penance would shred his extra skin, but he denies it, and they banter some more.
