Synopsis for "Don't Touch That Dial!"

At Xavier’s School, Gateway appears in Chamber’s basement quarters and suggests he console Husk who is upset by news of the Legacy Virus. At Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, Jubilee buys an apple for Penance, but the Thing bumps into her as he walks past, causing her to drop it, and a mob of his fans trample it. Meanwhile, M has gone into a catatonic trance, and Jubilee, Skin, and Synch are unable to wake her or move her. A passerby recognizes Skin from Los Angeles, surprised to see him alive. Skin leads the man into an alley and assaults him until he agrees not to tell anyone. In the Xavier’s School Biosphere, Banshee tries to talk to Penance in French, but she remains mute. He returns to his cottage to find Penance waiting for him, and he gives her an apple. Back in Manhattan, Jubilee, Skin, and Synch leave M at Rockefeller Center and take a limousine to meet the White Queen. Just as the car arrives at Frost Enterprises, it crashes, killing the driver. Jubilee, Skin, and Synch get out and find three security guards murdered with their bodies pinned to a wall. Realizing the White Queen is in danger, the three don their uniforms and prepare to find her, but she telepathically tells them to leave and get help. Back at the School, Chamber finds Husk drunk and rambling bleakly about the Legacy Virus. At Frost Enterprises, Jubilee, Skin, and Synch decide to rescue the White Queen themselves, but as they ride an elevator up to the penthouse, Synch figures out they are walking into a trap. When they reach the penthouse, a hulking mutant named Hemingway with blades for hands tries to ambush them, and Synch and Jubilee blast him with their powers. Hemingway throws Jubilee out a window, but Skin saves her while Synch blasts Hemingway down the elevator shaft. Afterward, they find the adolescent Artie Maddicks hiding in some rubble and deduce the White Queen brought them to New York to pick up him and his friend Leech. Using his image projection powers, Artie reveals that Hemingway’s group Gene Nation has Leech.
