Personal History of Giovanni Ticci is unknown.
He started in comics in Italy collaborating with Rinaldo D'Ami's Studio for the international market. His first work for the Bonelli publisher was for Un ragazzo nel Far West.
In 1960 he started working in Alberto Giolitti's studio drawing comics in the western and sci-fi genres for the US market.
In 1968 he started his long-lasting collaboration with Bonelli publisher starting with Tex #91. Over the years he has worked on over 7,000 pages of Tex artwork.
In 1995, in Roseto degli Abruzzi an exhibit was held honouring his long career.
He is currently an artist for Sergio Bonelli Editore on the monthly Tex series.
