Harold Allnut discovered that one of the furthest and least accessible reaches of the Batcave had a crevasse that opened onto a never used and incomplete subway station on a disused incomplete line. The mechanic then set about creating the Batsubway Rocket and improving accessibility to the station from the cave to give Batman another hidden way around the city.
The Stark Street Station is at in intersection of the Blue and Green Lines and serves the Widowstone Creek neighborhood.[1] The station is eleven blocks from Stephanie Brown's home at 115 South Holden Street and after Tim loses the Redbird in his civilian persona he has to take the subway and then walk to visit Stephanie.[2]
