Hall Manor

History

Hall Manor is, or rather was, the ancestral home of Carter Hall (AKA Hawkman), his wife Shiera (Hawkgirl) and their son Hector. Carter and Shiera seemingly had multiple residences in various cities, but Hall Manor was the one which they apparently regarded as home, though following the disappearance of his parents (along with the rest of the Justice Society of America) shortly after the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Hector Hall apparently closed the Manor up. He later returned to it when the evil Silver Scarab entity began to take control of him, and upon pursuing him to the Manor, Hector's childhood rival Northwind discovered the Manor stinking of dcay and, upon entering, the contents strewn about and smashed and Hector Hall in the arms of a mysterious woman (in reality the reincarnated Hath-Set, Hawkman's ancient enemy). Coming to the Manor herself later, Hector's fiancee Lyta Trevor discovered the place in a state of disrepair and with all the doors and windows boarded up. Entering, she discovered that the Manor had been ransacked and in part magically rebuilt to resemble an Egyptian tomb by the Scarab's ally Hastor. When Infinity Inc. arrived in pursuit of the missing Hector and Lyta, Northwind burned away the exterior of the now dangerously decaying Manor to reveal a topless pyramid within (this was subsequently at least partially destroyed). Following the apparent destruction of the Silver Scarab, Hector Hall's body was laid to rest elsewhere on the Hall estate. It is unknown whether the Manor itself was ever rebuilt.

Points of Interest

The Manor is set in substantial grounds and has its own attached graveyard, where the bodies of (amongst others) Robin and The Huntress of Earth-Two and later Hector Hall were laid to rest.
