Synopsis for "Somebody's Listening"

A man's child is dying and he tells the doctor that he does not believe in God. He sees someone going into his shed and accosts the man as he believes him to be a thief. The man denies he was looking to steal anything and he only wished to get out of the rain. The doctor tries to calm the father down and tells him he is upset because his son needs an AB negative transfusion and the local hospital doesn't have the blood type. The man's wife invites the stranger in for coffee and the stranger mentions that he's AB negative. The doctor doesn't have the equipment to test the stranger's word, so he asks the father if he's willing to let him donate. The father agrees and the child is saved. On Sunday, the man's wife asks him if he wishes to join her in the church. He scornfully rejects the idea that there was anything supernatural about the stranger's arrival. The doctor meets the father outside the church and tells him that he did some checking with the name that the stranger had given and it turns that a man with that name had died in the area one hundred years ago. The father is still skeptical and says he probably just didn't want to give his real name. The doctor then shows the father a photo he took of the father, wife and stranger after the transfusion and there is no one sitting between the wife and father in the photo. The father changes his mind about God and joins his wife in the church to pray.
