Synopsis for "The Doom of the Duplicate Swords!"

At Ultraforce headquarters, Mantra tells Topaz the only way to distinguish the real Sword of Fangs from the fake is to use them both on her. Earlier, Topaz was infuriated by a TV news story on Mantra using the sword to defeat a robot. Determined to reclaim the sword for Gwendor, Topaz convinced Ultraforce to find Mantra. Knowing where Mantra lives, Prime volunteered to go get her, and she returned with him. Topaz immediately attacked, and the two fought until Mantra presented the remains of the robot that assaulted her and accused Topaz of sending it. As Topaz denied it, the robot’s creator—a diseased former Aladdin scientist named Simon Carthan a.k.a. Hybrid—watched them via the robot’s head, seeking to use the magic of the Sword of Fangs to rejuvenate himself. He commanded the robot to attack, and Ultraforce quickly disabled it, but not before it emitted an energy beam that seemingly duplicated the sword. Now, Mantra and Ultraforce split into two squads to trace energy trail matching each sword. Mantra, Ghoul, and Prototype follow one trail to a pyramid in Egypt. Inside, Ghoul tries to gain information from an entombed pharaoh but accidentally sets him free. Named Ahmed-Set, he tears Ghoul apart and destroys Mantra’s sword, proving it is a fake. Prototype drives the pharaoh away with a burst of light, and the squad leaves. Meanwhile, Contrary, Prime, and Topaz follow the other trail to a derelict aircraft carrier in the ocean. A force field appears, trapping them aboard, and Topaz shatters her sword against it, proving it too is a fake. Contrary realizes the ship is the target of a weapons test and has Prime push it out of the way of an incoming missile. The field then drops, and they leave. Both squads follow a third energy signature to a military bunker. Hybrid attacks, wearing armor powered by the real Sword of Fangs, and bests Mantra and Ultraforce one by one. Working together, Mantra and Prototype overpower him, and she defeats him by impaling him with the sword. After holding the sword one last time, Topaz gives it back to Mantra, calls her its rightful owner, and tells her she will always have a place with Ultraforce.
