Synopsis for "Blood Rites"
At the Shadowkeep, a demon disables the computer searching for Frenchie while Moon Knight trains in virtual reality against simulations of his recent foes. He is interrupted by two incoming calls, one from Sheriff and the other from Black Widow. Sheriff reports that Frenchie’s van was found outside a night club along with two dead cops. Ignoring the call from Black Widow, Spector goes out and gathers leads on Frenchie. When he returns to his aircraft, Thor appears and demands he come speak with the Avengers. Following a chase through the city, he lets Thor catch up after he stops a pimp from attacking a prostitute. In an abandoned church in Brooklyn Heights, Chloe Tran reveals to Frenchie she is a Knight Templar and that she saved him from the Hellbent. At Avengers Mansion, the team reviews Moon Knight’s recent tactics and debates whether to expel him. Spector sneaks away after his transceiver receives an update on Frenchie. On his way out, he purges all records of himself from the Avengers’ computers and burns his team ID card. In France, Seth Phalkon and a trio of Hellbent—Bramble, Murmur, and Network—teleport to his new command center at PhalkonCorp in Manhattan. Back in Brooklyn, Chloe explains how Seth and the Hellbent decimated the Knights Templar. Next, she tells Frenchie the Templars call him Bloodline and that he houses the collective subconscious of all his ancestors. Their memories flood his mind, and he remembers a code phrase to activate his powers, but when he says it, nothing happens. Just then, Bramble, Murmur, and Network teleport in and attack. When Chloe is wounded defending Frenchie, adrenaline triggers his powers, and he is possessed by his ancestor, swordsman Henri Remont. As Remont fights back, Moon Knight arrives to help. Remont carries Chloe to safety, but she talks him to into rejoining the fight. He and Moon Knight hurl Bramble and Murmur back through Network’s portal. Then, a bestial creature named Manx appears, kills Network, and flees. Remont reverts back to Frenchie and decides not to tell Spector what he has learned. At PhalkonCorp, Seth has Agony kill Murmur for failing to capture Bloodline then hires Marlene Alraune to buy out SpectorCorp. On Long Island, Gambit breaks into Spector Mansion only to be ambushed by Werewolf.
