| Synopsis1 = The FF are getting used to their new lives without all of the money and the Baxter Building. Human Torch is starting to fit in more at his new job as a fireman, though he tends to get the worst chores in the fire house. Invisible Woman is finding success as school teacher as well.

While Invisible Woman is teaching, her class is interrupted by none other than Namor the Sub-Mariner. He requests that they take a walk together. Against her better judgement, she agrees even though she knows of his intentions to steal her away from her husband, Mister Fantastic. She was right and Namor wastes little time trying to woo her way from Mister Fantastic. She explains that, while their marriage (like everyone else's) is not perfect, she has no interest or intentions on leaving him. Frustrated, Namor grabs at her, but she pushes him away with a force field ordering him to leave "before someone gets hurt." Suddenly, they notice Mr. Fantastic standing there. Namor and Mr. Fantastic do some verbal sparring while Invisible Woman attempts to calm them both down. It doesn't work. Mr. Fantastic puts 70% of his body mass in to his right hand and knocks the hell out of Namor. A fight ensues, as the issue ends with the two combatants jumping through the roof of the aquarium they're in to continue the battle in the next issue.

Meanwhile, back at the fire house, Human Torch is learning what it means to earn respect instead of just expecting it because you're a celebrity. Suddenly, he's approached by a frantic and desperate woman. She reveals that her son has disappeared and she suspects that he's fallen through the ice on the Hudson River. The firemen tell her that it's impossible to find a body in a frozen lake, but Human Torch agrees to help her.
