Synopsis for "Only the Swamp Survives!"

Notes

• The stories narrative explains that part of the reason the Thing has a flashback to World War II has partially to do with the mystical properties of the swamp (which is the Nexus of All Realities.) Due to Marvel's sliding time scale, most historical references are usually considered to be used for topical reasons. Hence, it's entirely possible that one could consider Ben's encounter with the Howling Commando's either happening in another more modern conflict -- as per the sliding time scale -- or perhaps an imaginary tale or hallucination brought on by the combination of the swamps mystical properties and the delirium caused by the crash.
