History

Mary Storm was the wife of star surgeon Franklin Storm and mother to the two future adventurers and members of the Fantastic Four, Susan and Jonathan. On the way to a medical society dinner in her husband's honor, their car suffered a blowout and she was critically injured. Her husband operated on her desperately to save his wife, but she died on the table.
