I see some publisher have wikis, others not. It would be nice to be able to add info about any publisher on one comics wiki only, and to better coordinate wikis across publishers. I will let you know. I could add info about any publisher. Ok thanks. I will hopefully update you on this.
Ok. Add if/when possible any active publisher links that may not be included. The more the merrier. :) I'm adding some Harvey covers (Witches Tales). Skywald is also a publisher I would like to add covers of. We'll see.
And something I've been thinking about that is connected to this topic. DC wiki covers some Charlton and Quality comics, Marvel wiki covers some Malibu issues, and may start covering CrossGen, and there are other examples. So there has to some thought to how to coordinate (and not duplicate) efforts in this area.
Ok I will add Skywald, Thank you for adding to the Harvey wiki. As far as the duplicating goes there will have to be some for this wiki to have complete publishers. it gets interesting if we want to direct the next vol to the active publisher. Blue Beetle is a good example should the last charlton issue direct to the first dc issue? or the AC comics mini revival in the 80's
Well Skywald is what I would -like- to do. :) Hopefully I'll get to it. I don't know when. And there was some discussion recently on the Marvel wiki, on a thread, of adding Crossgen, like I said. And there's the "problem" of series changing publisher, like you said. It will have to be tackled in some manner.
Hello I reverted the edits on the List of Harris titles page because the titles are not duplicated if you see more than one the 2nd & possibly 3rd listings are for trades & hard covers. I was not finished editing the list apparently. sorry for the confusion. On all the lists I compile there should be no deletions required unless you intend to place the HC & TPB in with the regular series list.
I have been adding ashcans as #0 in the series. I usually give TPB their own page. I prefer that ashcans, 0's 1/2 and NN's go with the title they represent. The way you did the Vampirella: Death & Destruction ashcan is fine but it can go in front of issue #1 just the same.
I just finished up blackthorne publishing & wanted to let you know that I give each publisher their own templates. so you may have noticed that harris has a template for comic list & issue list as well. by the way, the work you are doing looks absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
Yeah that was a early test that I did not really care for. the First Trades should be moved to their own page. someday i will get around to it. I think we have the start of something really nice here, this wiki could become the best place for information on defunct publishers on the web as well as a hub for all of the active larger publishers.
I've uploaded a TSR series f covers. A template is needed. Whenever you have the time. And generally if you have images that are improvements feel free to replace. If there are any series you would like to work on, let me know, so I do not work on them as well. :)
I am in the process of merging all of Darkseid's comic wikis into the Crossgen wiki. I have Gotten Charlton & Warren & will be pulling in First, Eclipse & EC as well. Darkseid has done a great job on those wikis & his work deserves to be seen, Hopefully it will be here.
Hi, I wanted to let you know that as far as I know not every gold key had a whitman variant, so if we cannot prove the existence of a whitman variant I don't think we should have placeholders for them. :)
I can't say I'm an expert. Some sites list all of them even though they can't prove it. I assumed that if there were 2 different Whitman issues that there were all issues in between, that there was publishing continuity. So thanks for the information. I'll update them soon. However I'll also try to research the topic, to find out a bit more. Amazing Harvey/Whitman/Dell you're doing!
Different companies. Many companies actually over time have had the rights to reprint different series. What a company buys are the reprint rights to certain series and not the entire Marvel universe, so you can have more than one company at the same time publishing Marvel titles.
