Synopsis for "In the Shadow of Tragg -- He Who Walks Beneath the Earth!"
Tabloid reporter Dave Arnstead became very curious as to why the city had shut down development of a new subway tunnel beneath the East River. He decided to check it out himself, hoping to find the story of his career. What he found, however, was Tragg, the last of a race of subterranean monsters wiped out by underground atomic testing. Tragg sought revenge against all of humankind and planned to kill all but one person, to even the score. He sought to began with Arnstead and chased him through the subway tunnels, destroying parked trains as he went. Arnstead maanged to start of the trains and sent it careening towards the behemoth, bringing down the tunnel on top of him in the process. Believing the creature to be dead, Arnstead left realizing that he would be considered a laughing stock if he ever told anyone the truth about what he had found.
