Synopsis for "The Multiple Menace Weapon!"
One day in New York City, Adam Strange passes time between his next trip to Rann by bringing some caveman artifacts to a local museum when suddenly he is hit by a strange purple beam that transports him to New York, 100,000 years into the future. Shocked by this, he is then suddenly struck by a usual Zeta-Beam and transported to the future version of Rann. He arrives in New Ranagar City where he is greeted by one of it's highly evolved people. The being explains that they have transported Adam to the future Rann to help them stop invaders from the planet Klannf after reading historical records of his many adventures on "Old" Ranagar. The aliens from Klannf use a weapon that shoot living creatures of varying elemental properties that can deflect the New Ranagarian's weapons. Agreeing to help the people of New Ranagar, Adam is worried about what will happen on planet Rann in the present while he is absent. The people of New Rann show Adam what's going on via their time-scope where they see that Alanna is alone fighting a number of cyclones that threaten modern day Ranagar.
Explaining that they can return Adam to his own time in order to save Alanna, Adam is given a copy of his uniform and is taken to battle lines just outside New Ranagar. There Adam confronts on of the Klannf, and finds that his ray gun has no effect on the fire creature shot from its multiple menace weapon.
Adam finds a way to fight off the fire creature using extinguishing pellets, and soon devises a magnetic boomerang in order to collect one of the Klannf weapons. Soon, using magnets they manage to capture all the weapons and use them to make all the threats created by them to disappear. They then force the Klannf to surrender, and with the Klannf's defeat the future Ranigarian's return Adam to Rann of the present.
Arriving in the present, Adam and Alanna retreat and build a device that would reverse the rotation of the energy draining cyclones. He then quickly defeats the latest threat to Rann. After, Adam explains his adventure and how he arrived on Rann a full year before the next Zeta-Beam. Adam and Alanna manage to spend several months together on Rann before the Zeta-Beam used by the future Ranigarian's wears off returning Adam to modern day Earth, where he calculates the next Zeta-Beam will strike Earth in about 10 minutes and so races off to meet it.
