Synopsis for "Forces of Darkness, Forces of Light part 2: The Soul Canyons"
Speedball and Spider-Man encounter the darkness tide on the Brooklyn Bridge but press on to Manhattan. Laura Dunham is almost consumed in her car, but Darkhawk saves her. He then meets up with Speedball and Spider-Man just as Firestar blasts the darkness away from them. The four compare notes and observe that it stimulates negative emotions. Unexpectedly, a young man wearing the Torpedo armor and calling himself Turbo appears wanting to help. When Firestar says the Turbo she met was a woman, this Turbo replies that they share the identity. Spider-Man says he can come along provided he does not slow them down. At the Crash Pad, Nova battles the Darkforce-possessed Namorita while Rage fights it off himself. After Nova subdues her, Cloak appears. Nearby, Archangel is flying to join the other heroes when the darkness consumes him. In the Darkforce Dimension, Dr. Strange finds Silhouette and the others trapped there using the Eye of Agamotto, and he determines the source of the Darkforce attack is on Earth. Back in Manhattan, Human Torch, Thing, and Avengers Black Knight, Crystal, and Sersi fend off a mob of people under the Darkforce’s control. Just as Spider-Man’s group arrives to help, the Vanisher appears and teleports Sersi and the Torch away. Speedball notes that Silhouette’s powers rely on the Darkforce, explaining her disappearance, and the Black Knight points out that it is drawn to people with emotional turmoil. Thing suggests they head for the biggest mass of darkness and clobber whoever is behind it. At the Crash Pad, Cloak tries to pull Rage and Nova into the Darkforce Dimension, but Dagger arrives and stops him with her light powers. At the rehab clinic, Dr. Strange finds the Darkforce terrorizing the staff and comes face to face with Henrique Gallante. Coated in darkness and smiling, he welcomes Strange to the end of the world.
