Synopsis for "Forces of Darkness, Forces of Light part 3: Breaking the Back of Love"
Rage knocks out Namorita while Dagger finds herself evenly matched with Cloak. Cloak then teleports in Darkforce-controlled reinforcements including Silhouette. At the rehab clinic in Manhattan, Dr. Strange tries to talk down Henrique Gallante. Strange tells Gallante he is a mutant with the power to access and control the Darkforce. Despite what Gallante thinks, the Darkforce is not sentient, and he is the one responsible for unleashing it on Manhattan. Unconvinced, Gallante attacks Strange. Outside, Firestar, Speedball, and their allies approach the clinic, but the Vanisher appears with the Darkforce-controlled Archangel, Human Torch, and Sersi to repel them. The heroes fight back, but the Darkforce claims Black Knight. A darkness-coated mob forms around them, and Firestar cannot use her powers to free people without endangering their lives. At the Crash Pad, Black Mamba uses her powers to force Rage to experience the death of his family, and his fear and anger enables the Darkforce to consume him. In its thrall, he knocks out Dagger and Nova. Cloak then teleports Rage away with Namorita and the others under the Darkforce’s control. Back at the clinic, Dr. Strange again fails to reason with Gallante, and Gallante embraces his destructive power. Firestar, Speedball, and their allies manage to keep the mob at bay even as Cloak arrives with his group to attack them. Just when Spider-Man wonders who is controlling the Darkforce, the clinic explodes, and Gallante emerges to take credit, dubbing himself Darkling.
