Synopsis for "Child's Play part 4"
X-Force materializes at Shinobi Shaw’s Swiss chalet and immediately encounters the New Warriors. The teams agree to work together to rescue their captured teammates and split up into three squads to storm the building. Gamesmaster senses their coming and deploys the captives under his telepathic control to stop them. Empath and Karma force Rictor and Shatterstar to attack Kymaera and Nova. The two Warriors defeat them only for Moonstar and Magma to knock them out. Gamesmaster has Siena Blaze flatten Rage, Siryn, Speedball, and Warpath with an energy blast but is surprised when Speedball’s kinetic field saves their lives. Silhouette knocks out Boomer, and Night Thrasher subdues Firestar while Domino takes down Justice, and Cable overpowers Cannonball. But then Gamesmaster telepathically knocks them all out. Having stowed away with X-Force by disguising her form, Paige Guthrie appears and runs to her unconscious brother Cannonball. Gamesmaster pulls her into his mind, and she convinces him to release the New Warriors, X-Force, and his captives by challenging him to guide the next generation of mutants such as her. Amused, he agrees. Later, Cannonball wakes her up and praises her courage. Rictor calls fellow former New Mutant Wolfsbane to warn her the Upstarts may come after her, but her teammates in X-Factor already caught Fenris trying. Cable is dubious about Paige’s bargain with Gamesmaster, but Firestar suggests they use it as motivation to get to emerging mutants first. From his secluded island home, Gamesmaster telepathically eavesdrops on them and says the game has begun.
