Synopsis for "The Wilder Shore"
Night Man tracks Apocaloff to a colonial-era Russian fort up the coast from San Francisco. A hooded Russian monk meets him at the door but denies Apocaloff is there. Night Man retorts that he knows otherwise because of his link with the knife he left in Apocaloff’s shoulder. The monk leads him inside and into an ambush by a pack of demons, but he destroys them with his new powers. Afterward, Night Man follows the monk through a door but finds himself in a stairwell with stairs in all directions. In a nearby cell, Apocaloff argues with the captive Eddie Domingo and reveals to Gale Yee that Johnny is Night Man. Though unable to remove the knife from his shoulder, Apocaloff boasts it will come out once he kills Night Man. When the monk, whose name is Rasputin, enters and tells Apocaloff that Night Man is there, Apocaloff shifts into wolf form. Rasputin gives Apocaloff a protective amulet, but Eddie says Night Man will still beat him. In retaliation, Apocaloff slashes Eddie across the face. Then, he attacks Night Man in the stairwell, and they fight until Night Man beats him unconscious. When Apocaloff passes out, the knife falls out of his shoulder. Rasputin hears it and prepares to kill Gale and Eddie himself, but Gale stops him with her own Ultra powers. Afterward, she asks Eddie not to let Johnny know that she is an Ultra. Soon, Night Man kicks the door in and frees them. Eddie explains that Gale knows he is Johnny but keeps her secret.
