Synopsis for "Hostile Takeover part 0: A Firm Hand"

TV news reports on the explosion at UltraTech headquarters and announces that the company’s stock has fallen several points in value. In UltraTech’s executive suite, Ranger and Felicia Campbell watch company chairman Gordon Bell reclaim command of the firm. A disoriented amnesiac, he does not realize he is in the Prototype 2000 armor and thinks he is still human. Prototype enters to report Stanley Leland’s body is missing, sees Bell, and berates Ranger for not dealing with him. Prototype moves to attack, but Bell fends him off with an energy blast. At Bell’s request, Felicia turns on TV news, and they see an interview with competitor J.D. Hunt in which he disparages UltraTech, infuriating Bell. While Bell mistakes Felicia for his former secretary and sexually harasses her, the news reports Prototype is attacking Blind Faith and Warstrike at Yankee Stadium. Incensed at being impersonated, Prototype leaves to confront this impostor and reflects on his superhero career to date. Upon arriving at the stadium, he stops the impostor from killing Blind Faith, and it attacks him. As Blind Faith leaves, Prototype scans the impostor and discovers it is a robot. He stops Warstrike from leaving and learns the battle is a media event gone wrong. After the robot blasts Prototype in the back, he unleashes his Ultra powers, blasting it to pieces. He and Warstrike discuss what happened, and they part on good terms. Back at UltraTech, Felicia endures Bell’s advances to scan the Prototype 2000 armor and determines part of his human body is inside it. Frustrated, Ranger attacks Bell, but Bell fails to notice as he monitors UltraTech’s stock price. Just as Prototype returns, Bell deduces that J.D. Hunt is attempting a hostile takeover of the company.
