Red Lantern is a name that has been used by many characters in the DC Universe, appearing in two distinct legacies. The Red Lantern Corps is one of the ten Lantern Corps that draw power from the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum.

It was later revealed that there was once a Golden Age Red Lantern on Earth: a Soviet agent named Vladimir Sokov, a Green Lantern villain who wore a Soviet-developed Red Lantern Ring that created energy constructs and had to be charged using his mystic lantern. In a possible future, his daughter Ruby Sokov became the new Red Lantern, and a member of the Justice Society of America.

The Red Lantern Corps was created by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis, first appearing in Green Lantern Vol 4 25 (2008). Vladimir Sokov was created by Geoff Johns and Brandon Peterson, first appearing in The New Golden Age #1 (2022).
