Synopsis for "Day for Night"
With Erik’s mind in control, Gemini slaughters and feeds on several people on a seedy Los Angeles street. At the LAPD’s 86th Precinct, Detectives Jack Mills and Tony Skinner discuss the murders and the crater from which the killer mysteriously emerged. To their chagrin, a trio of federal agents show up and confiscate all their evidence. With Noel’s mind in control, Gemini wakes up in a dumpster and learns from a newspaper that one of Erik’s victims survived. Out of guilt, he visits her in the hospital and uses his powers to heal her before abruptly leaving. At Aladdin’s L.A. office, the trio of federal agents—actually bio-constructs—report to GENIE. They have determined K-6 teleported with Gemini to Los Angeles and confiscated K-6’s remains. GENIE orders them to find Gemini immediately. Noel finds an abandoned church to sleep in for the night and, in Gemini’s mind, battles Erik for control. In the Negative Zone, Rune grapples with Annihilus, seeking to feed on his Cosmic Control Rod. At an Aladdin facility in the Colorado Desert, scientists analyze the pod found in space until it opens and Adam Warlock emerges alive and rejuvenated. Noel realizes neither he nor Erik will ever win permanent control so they agree to share, splitting their time. Noel will keep Gemini’s powers and have control during the day; Erik will have control at night but will not feed on innocent people. It being nighttime, Erik takes control, and Gemini transforms into a pale, winged vampire like Rune.
