Synopsis for "The Informer"
Zeeta, a Brythunian woman romanced and abandoned by Conan travels to the Maul to give him a piece of her mind. Instead, she once again falls into the barbarian's arms. Conan, however, tricks her into bedding a drunken Simeon, a tavern-dweller upset with Conan for stealing his wench. Zeeta's husband, Alexus, arrives to confront Conan, who tells the unknowing cuckold where Zeeta and Simeon are. Alexus attacks the nearly comatose Simeon before all realize Conan has tricked them, but Conan has the last word as he reveals it was all a plot by Zeeta to have her husband confront Conan in an act of suicide so she might have Alexus's wealth. The three leave the tavern as Conan dejectedly looks for his lost tavern-slut.
