Synopsis for "The Deserter"
A Howler is put up in front of a firing squad. The rest of the Howlers talk about how it came about, and go into a flashback.
Over the course of two months, Duane Wilson joins the Howlers, goes on a couple missions, succumbs to P.T.S.D. (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and is executed by his own country for desertion.

Notes
- Ayers is credited as Richard Ayers.
- During World War II, P.T.S.D. had not yet been discovered. Sufferers of it, were labeled as Cowards and Deserters, and were traditionally executed.
