Synopsis for "Escape From Russia"Edit

Continued from last issue: Black X, carrying top secret shipping schedules, is just inside the Russian Border, on a captured Russian train, formerly Murmansk-bound, now running backwards toward Finland. On board are young Tommy Carrel, and their allies, Knute and Klaus, and their train-capturing platoon of Finnish commandos. The train (steam locomotive; 3 antique passenger cars) is full of Russian prisoners, who know about Black X's secret papers, and who mount an escape, and try to take over the train. There's a big rolling improbable fight at the end of which the Black X escapes, and is saved from a harrowing snowblind ordeal in the snow by his telepathic servant Batu. How? By providing telepathic guidance to the nearest friendly outpost, plus later by remote-headkonking one Russian soldier. Black X smuggles Tommy, (the late Aid Commisioner's son) back from Russia to Helsinki, and two weeks later they are back in Washington DC.
