Synopsis for Espionage, starring Black X: "Madame Doom"

Circa probably 1938-Dec: The threat of war looms between the USA and "The Orient." [So they've stopped calling Japan "Japan" for some reason.] "And behind events sits the elusive, mysterious Madame Doom, directing destiny." Black Ace and his monocle and fedora, and Batu, in a racing plane, at 200 mph, must transport the US defense plans from NYC to a conference in California while avoiding this sexy foreign agent, this prototype for all Will Eisner femme fatales. An alliance among three leading democracies (the "Tri-Power Pact"), to join their naval strength in the Pacific, is signed in Geneva on 10 December. Black Ace gets captured at St.Louis, and there's tension and repartee for him and Madame Doom, but Batu meanwhile has found Agent O-12 and brought him along, so the rescue works out. And there's an aerial machinegun fight farther along the way. In Frisco O-12 & Black Ace link up with Agent B-5, and in a quick street fight vanquish Madame Doom's small entourage and re-steal the important plans, then get away. She leaves the country, stymied.
