Synopsis for "Shadowgames part 3: Shadowfall"
Having sent reporter Joy Mercado to Washington, D.C. to investigate Shadowforce, Jonah Jameson phones her for an update. She tells him the military is stonewalling just before Shadowforce returns to Shadowbase. In Manhattan, Spider-Man intercepts Mirrorshade seconds before he can attack Flash Thompson. X-Factor arrives to help, but Airborne picks up Mirrorshade and flies away. Forge informs Havok that Shadowforce have gone rogue, taken over Shadowbase, and demanded their sentences be commuted. Polaris confirms Airborne flew south so Spider-Man and X-Factor board the team’s jet and return to D.C. Airborne returns to Shadowbase just as Hardtime watches Gen. Sharpe disavow the group on TV. Once X-Factor and Spider-Man arrive and make their way past federal officials, Spider-Man deduces the source of Shadowforce’s powers lies at the center of the base. When Shadowforce attacks, X-Factor fights them while Spider-Man reaches the power generator. He tries to turn it off but accidentally triggers the base’s self-destruct sequence, and the generator explodes. He flees only to run into Ambush and realizes Shadowforce are wearing battery packs to sustain their powers. Meanwhile, Mirrorshade dies trying to mimic Multiple Man’s duplication powers. Spider-Man leads Ambush back to X-Factor, and Havok blasts her unconscious. Polaris destroys most of Shadowforce’s battery packs with her magnetic powers, but Hardtime shields his. Spider-Man tries to talk him down as the base explodes around them. Soon, Forge watches Spider-Man, X-Factor, and Hardtime emerge from the flames. Forge informs X-Factor they have orders not to discuss what has happened so Spider-Man tosses his disc of evidence to a reporter. Later in New York, Peter Parker meets up with Flash and reveals Sharpe has been discharged by the military.
