Synopsis for "The Pilgrim Conundrum part 2"

Atop one of San Francisco’s Twin Peaks, Atom Bob reviews Night Man and the Strangers’ success against Pilgrim’s gang and in defusing his bombs. However, Bob thinks there is one more at the team’s headquarters. As the others head there, Electrocute believes there is an additional bomb at Twin Peaks. Agitated, Grenade drives off without her, and Teknight flies her to the other peak. She apologizes for accusing him of being Pilgrim, and they kiss. She speculates that her recent mood swings were caused by a bond they share having both been built by NuWare. Teknight does not want to come between her and Grenade, but she says she loves them both. They find Rodent and force him to reveal where the bomb is, and Electrocute disarms it. At the Strangers’ base, Byter helps Pilgrim plant the last bomb just before Zip-Zap attacks. Spectral and Yrial arrive, and Grenade, Lady Killer, and Night Man soon follow. Pilgrim flees deeper into the building, and the team splits up to find him. Grenade runs into Atom Bob just before Pilgrim and Zara ambush them. The others come running, but Pilgrim and Zara vanish. Zip-Zap finds the bomb, and Night Man disarms it just as Teknight and Electrocute arrive. After Lady Killer notifies the police that the bomb threat is over, Night Man claims he knows who Pilgrim is. He explains his reasoning and accuses Atom Bob. Initially, Bob denies it, but once Lady Killer asks him if it is true, he gleefully confesses it is. He relates how his use of magic against Bastinado transformed him, and he decided to seek ever more power. Transforming into Pilgrim, he boasts how he has deceived them with constructs of himself, Atom Bob, and Zara. Aghast, the Strangers turn against him, and he runs. They chase him into a room, and Electrocute realizes he has become part of it. Pilgrim reappears, declaring he can take any form he wants, and flees into the city. Night Man and the team engage him in a running battle to Coit Tower. Night Man catches up to Pilgrim only to be knocked out. When Teknight and the Strangers confront Pilgrim, he retaliates with lethal radiation. While Spectral and Yrial shield the team with their powers, Teknight explains his robot body is unaffected and decks Pilgrim. Pilgrim reverts to Atom Bob, and Lady Killer insists their relationship was real, but he rants about power and strikes her. She hits him back, and Grenade knocks him out with an energy blast. As Yrial magically places Bob in stasis, Night Man wakes up and slips away, leaving the Strangers to cope with Bob’s betrayal.
