Synopsis for "Detour!"

Zip-Zap saves the Strangers from falling by generating a vortex that carries them safely to the ground below. Lady Killer recollects the events that brought them there and sees Bastinado watching from the clifftop above. The Strangers find themselves in a desert landscape surrounding by living, purring tumbleweeds. Thanks to the data Electrocute got from the Entity, she knows of a desert on this world with mesas and flying jellyfish. She points in its direction, and Zip-Zap runs off to scout it. At super-speed, he crosses onto a glacier and runs into hostile humanoids with antlers. Fleeing them, he runs through a tropical forest with dinosaurs into an alpine region. He meets some tall, furry humanoids, but he cannot understand their language and keeps running. Back in the desert, Spectral wants to go after Zip-Zap, but Lady Killer orders him not to. She and Bob discuss her leadership, and she praises his heroism. Spectral watches Electrocute and Grenade kiss. Meanwhile, Zip-Zap traverses landscape after landscape until he finds the place Electrocute described. There, he comes upon a ringed circle of energy he recognizes as the Entity from the Moon. He pleads for its help, but it remains silent. Worried about Zip-Zap, the Strangers finally decide to go after him just before he returns and carries them all away in a vortex. Moving at super-speed, he takes them across various landscapes and through a portal back to Earth.
