Synopsis for "The Boy From Mars"

Jimmy Olsen concocts another wild scheme in an effort to advance his career at the Daily Planet. He begins telling everyone that he is actually an alien from the planet, Mars. Jimmy's plan backfires however when Perry White accuses him of Martian espionage. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrest Jimmy and put him through a battery of tests to determine whether or not he is lying. As it turns out, Jimmy appears to truly be from Mars. Superman arrives to take Jimmy back to his home planet. He later tells Jimmy that he had the FBI’s tests rigged to fail in the hopes of teaching Jimmy a valuable lesson about playing such outlandish pranks.

Synopsis for "A Date With Miss Metropolis"

Jimmy Olsen arranges to meet with Gloria Mason, the winner of the Miss Metropolis contest. Gloria wants to date Jimmy, but he is shocked when he discovers that Miss Mason is actually quite unattractive. In an effort to discourage her interest in him, Jimmy dresses up as an austere Englishman who begins to court Miss Metropolis. Gloria later dumps Jimmy in favor of this more appeasing prospect.
