When Wally West, the third Flash, had his powers restored after losing them in the Dominators' invasion, he ran so fast that he cut a massive trench across the country, ending with a giant crater near Swainsville. Since many believed the speedster had perished, Swainsville briefly became an instant tourist attraction, attracting both mourners and entrepreneurs peddling Flash merchandise.
