Synopsis for "The Thing in the Pool"
A woman tells her boss that she is quitting to marry another man. This is infuriates him so he says that he will kill her before he allows that to happen. Later, after the wedding, he shows up and offers the couple a home with an indoor swimming pool to make up for his boorish behavior. It turns that he has discovered a monster lurking in the pool and he builds the house around it in order to achieve his revenge. The monster does devour the woman and her husband, but it doesn't stop there and eats the boss as well.

Synopsis for "Love from a Plant"
A horticulturalist with a nagging wife discovers particular chemicals can make his vines either love or hate. He uses a hate spray in order to have the vine strangle his wife, but when he applies the love spray to the same vine for companionship, the vine hugs him to death.
